Why I built these calculators
Every platform an indie business sells on takes a slightly different cut — Amazon KDP uses sliding royalty rates and printing cost formulas, Etsy stacks four fees on every order plus optional offsite ads, Shopify charges per-transaction processing on top of plan fees. Most public calculators ignore at least one of those layers and quietly overstate profit. These tools apply every fee at current rates so the number you see matches the number that lands in your bank account.
How the tools are organised
Each calculator lives inside a platform-specific directory — KDP for Kindle and print self-publishing, Etsy for handmade and digital sellers, and more directories rolling out as I build them. Inside each directory the tools are grouped by job — royalties, ads ROI, pricing, profit, conversion. Every tool has its own dedicated page with the live calculator, 500–800 words of context, FAQs and links to related calculators so you can move from question to answer without paging back.
No signup, no paywall, no email capture
These tools are free because gating them would defeat the point — fast answers when you are deciding whether to publish, list or run a promotion. If they save you time, the best thank-you is sharing the link with another indie seller who could use it. If you need help applying the numbers to your specific situation, I run consults on lead generation and digital strategy — link in the sidebar of the homepage.
Coming soon
Shopify calculators, Amazon FBA calculators, eBay seller calculators and ad-platform ROAS suites are next in the queue. If there is a calculator you need that does not exist anywhere on the internet, mention it in a consult and I will prioritise it.
