Taxes in Germany
Germany raises revenue through income tax and VAT, among others. Germany uses a continuous formula from 14% to 45%; these brackets approximate it. A solidarity surcharge may apply.
VAT is charged at 19.00% on most goods and services, and importers pay duty plus VAT on goods brought into the country.
